Arabesque

Definition:
Arabesque is a position in which the free leg is extended straight behind the body, usually lifted off the floor.

Notes

• Borrowed from ballet, but used in ballroom for styling and lines.
• Often combined with arm styling for aesthetic effect.
• Distinct from attitude, where the free leg is bent.
