Definition:
A circular action of the free leg performed as an embellishment, either on the floor or in the air.

• On the floor: the circling leg is usually straight with the toe pointed and the inside edge of the ball of the foot in contact with the floor.
• Off the floor: the leg may be straight or bent with the toe pointed.
